‘Ek Machar Aadmi ko Hijda Bana Deta Hai’, that’s what Nana Patekar said. Born on January 1, 1951 to a small textile printing businessman, Nana Patekar, has an iconic status in the Hindi film industry. His intensity, dialogue delivery and performances are simply unmatched. He started his journey in Bollywood with 1978 movie Gaman. It was Parinda in 1989 that helped make his mark in Bollywood.

The 1994 Krantiveer was the highlight of his career. It was not only a commercial success but also won him multiple awards including the National award for the best actor. He ventured into direction with his film Prahaar: The Final Attack. He also gave his voice to Sherkhan in the cartoon series The Jungle Book.

Nana Patekar with his distinctive style takes a role to a heightened degree of intensity which only a handful of actors are capable of.
