Manoj Bajpai as an actor is as rare as it gets. The actor was born on April 23, 1969 in a small village of Bihar on the border of Nepal called Belwa. The actor completed his graduation from Ramjas College, Delhi University. He then applied to the National School of Drama where he was rejected 4 times after which he did theatre with Barry John at Barry’s Drama School.

He started his acting career with a television serial on Doordarshan called Swaabhimaan. He did a lot of small roles in films like Dastak,kaal, Droh and Bandit Queen. He played the main lead for the first time in Dil Pe Mat Le Yaar!! Opposite Tabu. His first major break came with the 1998 crime thriller Satya which won him several awards followed by Aks (2001) in which his performance was equally appreciated.

Manoj Bajpai’s memorable performances on the silver screen have won him 2 National Awards and 2 Filmfare Awards.
