If it’s Jhakaas, it’s Anil Kapoor. The veteran actor has been a part of the Hindi film industry for more than 40 years. He had a small role in his debut film Hamare Tumhare in 1979. His first lead role was in a Teulgu film called Vamsa Vruksham. In 1984, he made his Tamil film debut with Pallavi Anu Pallavi and it turned out to be a blockbuster.

The 80s and 90s in Bollywood had Anil Kapoor written all over it. With films such as Ram Lakhan, Tezaab, Mr. India, Beta and Taal, Anil Kapoor ruled the roost. After building his legacy in Bollywood, he made his mark internationally. He starred in Slumdog Millionare in 2008, which went on to win 8 Academy awards. In 2010 he was part of 24, an American television show. He also made an Indian version of the show which aired in 2013.

With multiple awards, legion of fans and many memorable roles in iconic movies, Anil Kapoor is an icon and an inspiration to aspiring actors.
